What I learned through my first Networking Event in London
I recently attended my first networking event through the CLIQ app here in London, and it was wonderful. The women I met were incredibly welcoming, and the event brought together a strong community.
The networking event focused on building an online presence. I spoke with women who were building their online presence in both business and personal brands through various platforms.
What I learned? There are so many ways to establish a voice and build a brand online, and hearing about each path was deeply inspiring.
I shared how I was exploring how social media platforms (like Substack) make it easy for creators to connect and build visibility. I also shared that I was navigating life abroad in London since moving from California, and some of the ebbs and flows of my experience since moving to London.
A few takeaways from attending this networking event:
A few takeaways:
- There are so many pathways in content creation. And, they are all valuable.
- You don’t have to be a “content creator” to start an online business.
There is always an opportunity: Content creators need other content creators. We all offer different skills, vision, and ideas. Networking events can be foundational in the world of digital. - Opportunities are abundant. Content creators need other content creators. Coaches need mentors. We all offer different skills.
- I recently moved to London from Los Angeles. I’m really grateful I found a community in London where I can learn from others and explore ideas. I use the CLIQ app in London, which makes finding community a breeze.
- As I’ve spent more time on my own, writing has become an outlet that helps me express my thoughts freely.
