The organic coffee roaster in Beverly Hills, CA
I had a flight from LA to NYC at 6 in the morning. On my way, I hit backed up traffic, I left my coffee in my car, and I just barely boarded my flight on time. About halfway through the flight I smelled fresh coffee. And a few hours later, I smelled it again. I remember wondering if the airline was brewing fresh coffee. I wanted some, it smelled so good. I looked over the aisle to find a man pitching what seemed to be a full coffee making demonstration to two other very engaged plane riders.
I must have been staring, because they had noticed and turned towards me. I found out the man’s name was Aharon and he has an organic coffee shop in Beverly Hills. He was full of joy and happy to share his coffee knowledge with others on the plane.
This inspired me to research more into coffee, which later led me to purchase my first stainless steel Moka pot.
When I returned to Beverly Hills, I eventually stopped by Aharon’s Coffee & Roasting to pick up some grounds to brew at home in my Moka pot. I love that the company is all organic and Aharon’s coffee is truly joy joy joy-which if you’ve met him, is just like him!
Here’s how I make my morning coffee (with a 4-cup Bialetti Venus Stainless Steel Moka Pot):
1) Preboil the water and add it to the bottom piece of my moka pot, filling the water to the safety valve. Drop the funnel filter piece in & add the grounds.

2) Screw on the top piece & heat over medium or low heat:

3) My 4 cup moka pot brews for about 4-5 minutes. I take it off the heat when the flow of espresso stops:

4) Add your milk, and enjoy 🙂
